Frequently asked questions

  • How do I book an appointment?
To book an appointment, please fill out the booking form on this website. You can see if my books are open, and which months I’m currently booking in on my Instagram page, or Facebook. Please expect to wait up to one week to hear back from me after submitting.
  • Where are you based?
I am currently based in Heartbreaker Tattoo in Brighton, UK. It’s a two minute walk from Brighton train station, and is friendly, femme space.
  • Will I have to bring ID with me on the day?
Yes. Bringing valid ID is essential when getting tattooed, and the studio reserves the right to turn people away who can’t prove their age.
  • Will I see my design before the appointment?
You will see your tattoo design on arrival to the studio. I always allow time to make changes to the design if any are needed, but as long as you’re able to clearly communicate your idea in the booking form, and you like the work I make, it’s expected you’ll be pleased with the design on the day. The only exception to this is if you’re having a large piece, in which case it is likely that I will send you the design the night before.
  • Can I bring a friend along with me?
Due to Covid restrictions, you can’t currently bring a friend with you to the studio. If you have an interpreter, support worker, or carer, I can make exceptions and give you a quiet appointment slot (toward the end of the day) where less people will be in the studio, and therefore social distancing is more achievable. I am friendly and always happy to chat to you during your appointment, or if you’d prefer to wear headphones that’s always an option too.
  • How can I prepare for my appointment?
Please make sure you have had a substantial meal before your appointment, and bring a sugary drink along too. Please don’t fake tan prior to your appointment as this will cause delays. Please be cautious during summer months, and avoid getting sunburnt before your tattoo as i won’t be able to tattoo the damaged skin. Also, please arrive on time to your appointment.
  • How does the deposit work?
I request a deposit to secure your appointment. I won’t be able to book you in, or start the drawing process without this deposit. I usually ask for £50 or £100 (depending on the size of your tattoo) via bank transfer or cash dropped to the studio. Your deposit is non refundable, but if you cancel with more than 48 hours notice before your appointment, I will be happy to move your existing deposit to a new date. However, if you cancel with less than 48 hours before your appointment I will require a new deposit if you would like to rebook. Deposits and appointments are not transferable to other people.
